New York State Dairy Ambassador Competition

Over 40 stories have aired about ADA North East’s newly selected Dairy Promoters, representing New York State during the 2024-2025 term. We received coverage on WKTV CBS Utica, WIVB CBS Buffalo and Spectrum News. Our Public Relations team secured some additional news coverage in the Daily Star about New York State Dairy Ambassador Evelyn Kersmanc and on Spectrum News Rochester, which visited Hemdale Farms to interview New York State First Associate Dairy Ambassador Olivia Maslyn.

National School Breakfast Week Celebrations

During National School Breakfast week celebrations, between March 4-8, ADA North East’s Public Relations team secured multiple media stories:

  • In Philadelphia, our Public Relations team’s efforts resulted in 14 stories and 1.2 million impressions, with coverage on WTFX FOX Philadelphia, WCAU NBC Philadelphia, WPVI ABC Philadelphia, KYW CBS Philadelphia and in The Philadelphia Tribune.
  • In Albany, we secured over 67 stories resulting in 880,000 impressions, with 23 stories on Spectrum News Morning, Spectrum News Noon, and WNYT and WTEN in Albany.
  • In Baltimore, we secured 8 stories resulting in 3.6 million impressions, with coverage about school breakfast events on WMAR, WBFF, and WBAL in Baltimore.

National Ag Week and Ag Day Promotions

March 17 kicked off National Agriculture Week, with National Ag Day on March 19. March is also Women in History month. Our Public Relations team took the opportunity to promote the dairy industry through women dairy farmers.

  • Spectrum News’ story with Julie Richardson of Hillside Dairy in Fabius, N.Y., has run 55 times in Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Binghamton and Albany markets.
  •  WIVB TV CBS Buffalo interviewed Alicia Lamb and Molly Moffet of Oakfield farms.
  • Amy Brickner of Destiny Dairy was featured in 12 stories on WPMT TV FOX Harrisburg, WPMT TV FOX Harrisburg Second Story and WHTM TV ABC Harrisburg.
  • Batavia Daily News highlights Oakfield Corners’ Northeastern Dairy Product Innovation Award.
  • WPMT TV FOX Harrisburg story on Jesslyn Balmer of Stoney Path Farm.
